The Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Clemson Tigers will meet up on the college basketball court Sunday.

Wake Forest enters this one at 8-12 on the season. Following their sticking upset of NC State, the Deacons have lost their last four straight against Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College and Louisville.

In the loss to the Cardinals, Wake Forest’s Brandon Childress led the team with 13 points, three rebounds and two assists. Jaylen Hoard added 11 points and eight rebounds in that one and Chaundee Brown had 10 points of his own for the Deacons.

Over on the Clemson side, they’re 12-8 this season. The Tigers are 2-2 in their last four games, falling to Florida State and NC State while bagging wins over Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh in that span.

In the win over the Panthers, Clemson’s lead scorer was Marquise Reed, with 26 points, three assists and two rebounds. Shelton Mitchell added 14 points and five assists for the Tigers there, and Clyde Trapp had 16 points.

Wake Forest is 5-12 ATS in their last 17 road games and 2-6 ATS in their lsat eight overall. The Deacons are 6-20 ATS in their last 26 versus the ACC and 1-4 ATS in their last five Sunday games.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS win. Clemson is 2-5 ATS in their last seven Sunday games and the over is 7-0 in their last seven after an ATS win.

The Demon Deacons came back to earth pretty quickly after the NC State game, and really haven’t made much noise since. Aside from their losses to Virginia and Louisville over the last three—which everyone figured would happen—Wake also put up a 65-61 loss to a “blah” Eagles team.

Normally I’m wary of these thicker lines, but Clemson at home should drill the Deacons without too much difficulty. I’m going to stay with the Tigers here. Clemson is kind of a “blah” team themselves in a lot of respects, but in this scenario they’re the clear favorite and should perform as such.
