Horizon League college basketball action features the Detroit Titans visiting the Cleveland State  Vikings on Wednesday.

The struggling Detroit Titans have dropped six of seven with inconsistency plaguing the team. Detroit comes off of an 87-78 defeat at Oakland where a 49-33 second half run by the Golden Grizzlies negated an eight point halftime deficit.

The Titans received 23 points and five yanks from Kameron Chatman followed by a 13 point, five steal effort from Josh McFolley. Corey Allen and DeShawndre Black gave Detroit eleven points apiece while Roschon Prince added ten points and 13 rebounds.

The Cleveland State Vikings haven’t won many games but the team picked up a surprising 86-78 win at the red hot UIC Flames as an 11.5 point road dog. Cleveland State took a ten point lead in to the break with a 47.5%-40.3% shooting edge being the difference.

Tyree Appleby carried the Vikings as he led all scorers with 25 points and nine assists followed by Jamarcus Hairston added 17 points and nine rebounds. Cleveland State received 13 points and six boards from Stefan Kenic with Kenny Carpenter tossing in eleven points with seven rebounds.

Under is 6-2 in Detroit last 8 Wednesday games and Detroit are 9-20-1 ATS in their last 30 Wednesday games. Cleveland State  are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games.

I suppose Cleveland State has looked better in losses then Detroit but that’s the ultimate splitting hairs scenario…

Pick:
Cleveland State -3

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
