Wright State at Cleveland State

The Wright State Raiders and the Cleveland State Vikings will match up in college basketball activity on Saturday.
Wright State enters this one with a 9-10 record overall. The Raiders are 2-1 over their last three games, with a loss to Northern Kentucky in between wins over Oakland and Youngstown State.
In the win over the Penguins, both Billy Wampler and Malachi Smith led the Raiders with 17 points apiece, and combined for 12 rebounds and five assists. Mark Hughes would add 16 points for the Raiders there.
Over on the Cleveland State side, they’re 5-15 this season. The Vikes have lost their last seven straight games, falling to Oakland, Detroit, Milwaukee, Green Bay, IUPUI, UIC and Northern Kentucky.
In the loss to the Norse, Cleveland State guard Rashad Williams led the way with 23 points and two rebounds. Also in double-figures for the Vikings there were Stefan Kenic (11 points) and Kasheem Thomas (10 points).
Wright State is 1-4 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss and the over is 5-0 in their last five versus a team with a winning percentage below .400. The over is also 6-2 in the Raiders’ last eight games following an ATS loss.
Meanwhile, the Vikings are 6-1 in the last seven Saturday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss. Cleveland State is 1-6 ATS in the last seven overall and 1-7 ATS in their last eight versus the Horizon.
There’s nothing that pops off the screen when you’re looking at Wright State, but when they’re in a groove they’ve got a few reliable scorers who can pump those points totals up. The Raiders do hit the wall at times versus teams they don’t match up well with, though.
Cleveland State can score as well, but the issue is that they give up a TON of points on the other side to pretty much everybody that comes through there. I’m going to stick with Wright State to bang out a cover in this one during what will probably be a high-scoring affair.
