Coastal Carolina Chanticleers -7 O/U: 147
The South Alabama Jaguars and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will match up on the college basketball circuit Thursday.
South Alabama comes into this game at 14-15 overall. The Jaguars are 2-1 in their last three games, with a loss to TX-Arlington sandwiched between wins over Troy and Texas State.
In the win over the Bobcats, South Alabama’s Josh Ajayi led the team on 20 points with four rebounds. Rodrick Silkes added 18 points for the Jaguars in that one, while Herb McGee and Kory Holden each notched 15 points.
Over on the Coastal Carolina side, they’re 14-14 this season. The Chanticleers are also 2-1 in their last three games, with a loss to Louisiana mixed in with wins over Georgia State and LA-Monroe.
In the win over the Warhawks, Coastal Carolina’s Devante Jones led the team on 30 points with five rebounds and five assists. Zac Cuthbertson also had a nice night for the Chanticleers in that one with 25 points, six assists and seven rebounds.
The Jaguars are 21-7-1 ATS in their last 29 Thursday games and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five road games. South Alabama is 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win.
Meanwhile, the Chanticleers are 4-1 ATS in the last five home games and 2-5 ATS in the last seven versus the Sun Belt. Coastal Carolina is 2-5 ATS in the last seven overall and 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 after a straight-up win.
The last time these teams met up was way back on January 5, and the Jaguars secured an 84-77 victory at home in that one.
With the home lift and the fact that Coastal Carolina has been scoring pretty well on a regular basis lately (despite giving up a lot of points as well), I’m going to go with the Chanticleers here in what should be a higher-scoring outing.
