Saturday college basketball brings us to the MWC where the New Mexico Lobos visit the Colorado State Rams.

The New Mexico Lobos fell to 2-1 in the Mountain West with an 80-69 defeat to visiting UNLV as four point favorite on Tuesday.

Vance Jackson came off the bench to lead New Mexico with 14 points and four pulls while Corey Manigault added 13 points and five pulls.

The Lobos received 12 points from Carlton Bragg and Makuach with Bragg totaling seven rebounds while Anthony Mathis chipped in with nine points, three yanks and four assists.

The Colorado State Rams avoided an 0-3 beginning to their conference slate by routing Air Force 87-64 as a 4.5 point favorite.

Nico Carvacho keyed the explosive Colorado State offense with a contest high 27 points with nine rebounds and four helpers.

Kendle Moore gave the Rams 23 points and five assists while   Kris Martin contributed   12 points and another four helpers.

Under is 7-1 in New Mexico last 8 overall and over is 10-3 in New Mexico last 13 road games and New Mexico are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 vs. Mountain West. Colorado State  are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games and over is 17-7 in Colorado State last 24 vs. Mountain West and over is 7-3 in Colorado State last 10 home games. Under is 12-4 in the last 16 meetings.

New Mexico has some up and down performances and I’m hoping the ‘good’ Lobos squad shows up…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
