The Southern Illinois Salukis take the floor at the Colorado State Rams in a non-conference college basketball tilt.
The Southern Illinois Salukis have won three of four after upending Tulsa 79-69 on Friday. Southern Illinois overcame a three point deficit at the half behind a 47-34 run over the final 20 minutes. The Salukis sank shots at 58.6% and limited the Golden Hurricane to 43.1% which negated seven more Tulsa shots.
The balance SIU offense featured a 14 point, six board and three assist effort from Eric McGill on 3-6 shooting and 6-9 at the stripe while Aaron Cook tossed in 13 points on 3-7 and 5-6 at the line. Sean Lloyd Jr. netted eleven points on 4-9 with Armon Fletcher, Marcus Bartley and Thik Bol giving Southern Illinois nine points apiece.
The Colorado State Rams lost their second game of the 2018-19 campaign 78-65 to South Dakota State on Wednesday. Colorado State fell behind by 16 points after 20 minutes and didn’t have the horses to come back with the Jackrabbits holding a 46.8%-36.4% shooting edge. Anthony Masinton-Bonner led the Rams offense with 20 points and four pulls on 7-12 from the field and 4-4 at the line. JD Paige gave Colorado State 17 points and four board on 7-13 accuracy while Kris Martin added eleven points and seven rebounds on 5-12 from the floor.
