The Line: Colorado Buffaloes -11.5 -- Over/Under:
Coming up Wednesday from Coors Events Center, the California Golden Bears and the Colorado Buffaloes will be matching up on the college basketball court.
California is sitting at 8-16 on the year so far. The Bears had a nine-game losing streak going but took out Oregon State on Saturday to break it. In that game, Cal guard Darius McNeill led the way on 16 points.
Don Coleman is the leading Bears scorer with 16.4 PPG this year, and Justice Sueing is second on 14.1 PPG and 5.7 RPG. Also in the double-digit club for California are Marcus Lee (12.6 PPG; 7.6 RPG) and McNeill (11.8 PPG).
Over on the Colorado side, they’re currently 13-10 this season. The Buffaloes had lost three straight games, but bounced back with a win over Utah on Friday. In that game, Colorado’s McKinley Wright put up 21 points.
Wright is the leading scorer for the Buffaloes on the season with 14.6 PPG and 5.3 APG. Also in double-digits for Colorado are George King (14.2 PPG; 8.3 RPG) and Namon Wright (11.1 PPG; 4.0 RPG).
California is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 versus the Pac-12. The Bears are also 8-29-2 ATS in the last 39 Wednesday games and 1-5 ATS in the last six games following an ATS win.
Meanwhile, the Buffaloes are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games following a straight-up win. Colorado is also 1-3-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 2-6-1 ATS in the last nine games following an ATS win.
Cal had a pretty rough scoring run going in that losing streak, putting up fewer than 60 points in six games of a seven-game stretch, but managed 74 versus Oregon State. Colorado hasn’t been great at scoring lately either, with 67 or fewer in three of their last four. There’s really not a lot of intrigue going on here, but I’m going with Colorado for the cover.
