The UCLA Bruins won their 3rd straight game and improved to 16-13 (9-7 Pac-12) on the season after defeating the USC Trojans, 93-88 in OT, this past Thursday. UCLA allowed USC to fight back from a 66-58 deficit to force OT, however, the Bruins were outstanding defensively in the extra period and was able to pull away after taking an 87-82 lead with just 2:47 left in OT. UCLA shot 47.8% from the field and outrebounded the Trojans by a 55-44 margin in the victory. Colorado led by a 35-26 margin at halftime and had no trouble securing the victory after taking a 59-46 lead with just 5:22 left in regulation. Colorado shot 48.1% from the field while holding Utah to just 39.3% shooting from the field & 19.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Buffalos was Tyler Bey who had a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and a steal.

Offensively, Colorado has been led by McKinley Wright IV (13.0 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 5.0 apg, 1.2 spg), Tyler Bey (12.8 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.2 bpg), Lucas Siewert (10.4 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.6 apg), and Shane Gatling (10.1 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 1.8 apg).
Defensively, Colorado is holding their opponents to an average of 68.5 ppg on 43.3% shooting from the field. The Buffaloes have a rebound margin of 5.2 and a turnover margin of -0.9.
The Bruins are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game, however, are just 4-10 ATS in their last 14 road games. The Buffaloes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games.
UCLA has won 4 of their last 5 games and although their defense has struggled keeping opponents off the scoreboard as they rank just 302nd in scoring defense, the Bruins offense has been solid as they come into this game ranked 48th in scoring offense & 80th in FG%.
Colorado has won 6 of their last 8 games and have been solid on both ends of the court this season as they currently rank 132nd in scoring offense, 92nd in FG%, and 98th in scoring defense.
UCLA has been playing more like the team we expected this season over the last couple of weeks, however, the majority of that recent success came at home and I have a hard time seeing the Bruins finding success on the road as they are just 3-5 in away games and 0-3 on a neutral court this season. Colorado is a solid team that I think could make some noise in the Pac-12 Men’s Championship and between the fact that the Buffaloes are 11-2 at home and are balanced team on both ends of the court, I think Colorado covers this mid-range home spread. Good Luck!
