|Date & Time||Sunday December 2, 2018, 1:00 PM (EST)|
The Line: Connecticut Huskies PK -- Over/Under: 153
The Arizona Wildcats and the Connecticut Huskies will be meeting up in college basketball action on Sunday.
Arizona rolls into this one at 5-2 this season. The Wildcats have fallen to Gonzaga and Auburn this year while taking out HBU, Cal Poly, UTEP, Iowa State and GA Southern.
In the Eagles game, Arizona’s Chase Jeter set the pace with a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds in just 19 minutes, while Brandon Williams and Brandon Rudolph each logged 14 points with eight assists and nine rebounds between them.
As for UConn, they’re sitting at 6-1 this year. The Huskies’ lone loss came against Iowa, but otherwise they’ve rolled through Morehead State, UMKC, Syracuse, Cornell, New Hampshire and UMass Lowell.
In the River Hawks game, UConn’s Jalen Adams and Christian Vital led the way on 19 points apiece, and each had three assists with five rebounds as well. Josh Carlton and Alterique Gilbert each chipped in 15 points for the Huskies.
The Wildcats are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five Sunday games and 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine after scoring at least 100 in their previous game. The under is 7-2-1 in the Wildcats’ last 10 overall and 7-2-1 in their last 10 non-conference games.
Meanwhile, the Huskies are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games. UConn is also 2-5 ATS in their last seven Sunday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six after a straight-up win.
After a couple of tough draws in elite teams Gonzaga and Auburn, the Wildcats got right back on track with a 30-point drubbing of GA Southern and have a string of relatively manageable games coming up.
UConn could give Arizona some trouble however, as they’ve been scoring very well this year and have several competent, well-rounded players. I’m going to go with Arizona on a win here, but this game is something of a toss-up so I’m realistically staying away.
