The Line: Connecticut Huskies -16 -- Over/Under: 164
The Drexel Dragons and the Connecticut Huskies will meet up in college basketball action on Tuesday.
Drexel enters this one at 6-5 on the year. Thus far, the Dragons have recorded victories over Bryn Athyn, La Salle, Boston U, Robert Morris, Loyola MD and Quinnipiac this season.
In the Bobcats game, Drexel’s Alihan Demir led the way on 26 points with four rebounds, and Camren Wynter put up a nice stat-line on 18 points, six assists and seven rebounds. Troy Harper added 19 points for the Dragons there.
Over on the Connecticut side, they’re 8-3 right now. The Huskies’ victories have come against Morehead State, UMKC, Syracuse, Cornell, New Hampshire, UMass Lowell, Lafayette and Manhattan.
In the Jaspers game, Uconn’s Christian Vital logged a team-high 13 points with eight rebounds, while Alterique Gilbert had 12 points with four assists and Josh Carlton provided 11 points with five rebounds.
The Dragons are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six Tuesday games and the over is 4-0 in their last four overall. The over is 4-0 in Drexel’s last four non-conference games and the under is 6-2-1 in their last nine Tuesday games.
Meanwhile, the Huskies are 4-1 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss and 0-6 ATS in their last six versus the CAA. The under is 4-1-1 in UConn’s last six versus the CAA and the over is 14-6 in their last 20 overall.
Drexel does have a pretty well-rounded team and a handful of guys who can score when needed, but I’d like to see those opposing points numbers come down a little bit.
As for UConn, they’ve got some scorers as well and have the capability to hang with just about anyone. I’m going with the Huskies here in what should be a high-scoring game.
