The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats saw their three game winning streak end in a 77-71 loss at Morgan State on Saturday.
Both teams sank shots in the 35% range with Bethune-Cookman hurt by a 4-20 effort on long balls and 23 turnovers.
Cletrell Pope kept the Wildcats in the game with 24 points and 22 rebounds while Soufiyane Diakite adding 17 points and eleven rebounds.
Malik Maitland gave Bethune-Cookman 13 points, five pulls and three assists followed by Shawntrez Davis chipped in with eight points and eight boards.
The struggles of the Coppin State Eagles continued with a 72-70 loss against Florida A&M on Saturday as a one point home favorite.
