Creighton Bluejays -3.5 O/U: 147.5
The Seton Hall Pirates and the Creighton Bluejays will meet up on the college basketball court Sunday.
Seton Hall enters this one with a 15-9 mark on the year. The Pirates have won three of their last four games, dropping to Butler and taking out Providence, Creighton and Georgetown during that time.
In the win over the Hoyas, Seton Hall’s Myles Powell led the way on 30 points with five rebounds and two assists. Michael Nzei added 18 points with nine rebounds and two assists for the Pirates in that one as well.
Over on the Creighton side, they’re 13-12 this season. The Bluejays have lost four of their last five games, falling to St. John’s, Villanova, Seton Hall and Xavier during that span of matchups.
In the loss to Xavier, Creighton’s Martin Krampelj led the team on 18 points with nine rebounds and two assists. Kaleb Joseph was the only other Bluejay in double-figures with 11 points there, and Ty-Shon Alexander put up 10 rebounds with nine points.
The Pirates are 4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games. Seton Hall is 2-5 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win and 1-4 ATS in their last five Sunday games.
Meanwhile, the Bluejays are 39-17 ATS in their last 56 Sunday games and 7-15 ATS in their last 22 versus the Big East. Creighton is 2-5 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up loss and 5-13 ATS in their last 18 after an ATS loss.
The last time these teams met wasn’t that long ago (February 9) and ended up being a 63-58 home victory for Seton Hall.
This will be Creighton’s first home game after three away outings, and the extra lift should help the Bluejays. They’ve been competitive, even in their recent losses, so I’m going to stick with Creighton on the home cover here.
