Creighton Bluejays -1 O/U: 149.5
The Villanova Wildcats and the Creighton Bluejays will be matching up on the college basketball court Sunday.
Villanova enters this game with a 12-4 record overall. Following the loss to Kansas, Villanova has won their last four games versus Connecticut, DePaul, Providence and St. John’s.
In the win over the Red Storm, Villanova’s Eric Paschall led the team on 25 points and eight rebounds. Phil Booth also had a nice game for the Wildcats there, providing 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Over on the Creighton side, they’re 10-6 this season. Following a three-game win streak over Coe College, UMKC and Providence, the Bluejays have lost their last pair to Butler and Marquette.
In the OT loss to the Golden Eagles, Creighton’s Ty-Shon Alexander put up 23 points and five rebounds to lead the way. Davion Mintz added 21 points of his own, and Martin Krampelj tallied 19 points with eight rebounds.
The Wildcats are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games and 43-19 ATS in their last 62 following an ATS loss. Villanova is 35-17 ATS in their last 52 overall and 43-21-1 ATS in their last 65 Sunday games.
Meanwhile, the Bluejays are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and 38-16 ATS in the last 54 Sunday games. Creighton is 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the Big East and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 after an ATS loss.
Villanova fell behind 39-34 to St. John’s before roaring back in the second half en route to a 76-71 victory. That continues a lengthy line of mostly solid offensive performances for the Wildcats.
Creighton stood tall against Marquette, but they’ve also put up some head-scratching performances against teams that aren’t as good as the Golden Eagles.
The Bluejays are just a little unpredictable for my liking, so I’m going to stick with the rising star of Villanova here.
