Princeton Tigers (11-10) at Dartmouth Big Green (4-15)
The Line: Dartmouth Big Green +4 -- Over/Under:
Coming up on Saturday from Leede Arena, the Princeton Tigers and the Dartmouth Big Green will be meeting up on the college basketball circuit.
Princeton enters this game with a 11-11 record overall on the year. The Tigers had a pretty good run going from December 12 to February 2, winning nine of their 11 games. Princeton has since hit the skids with three straight losses.
The Tigers’ most recent defeat came 66-51 to Harvard on Friday. In that one, Princeton’s leading scorer was Richmond Aririguzoh, with just nine points off the bench. No Tigers player was in double-figures in that game, and the starters posted just 29 points between them.
Over on the Dartmouth side, they’re sitting at 4-16 on the season. As of December 22, the Green were 4-6, but then the team rattled off 10 straight losses. Dartmouth’s most recent defeat came against Pennsylvania on Friday.
In that 66-61 loss to the Quakers, Dartmouth scored just 24 points but held Penn to 27 on the other side. That 3-point differential would prove to be the deciding margin, however. The Green’s top scorer in that one was Miles Wright with 16 points.
Princeton is 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight Saturday games and the over is 5-1 in their last six road games. The Tigers are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings at Dartmouth and the road team is 23-9 ATS in these teams’ last 32 meetings.
Meanwhile, Dartmouth is 10-21-1 ATS in their last 32 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus a team with a winning straight-up record. The under is 5-1 in the Green’s last six Saturday games and the over is 5-2 in these teams’ last seven meetings at Dartmouth.
Dartmouth really does have some decent scorers atop their roster, but they’re lacking in rebounding. The good news for the Green is that they’ve lost by three points or fewer in each of their last three games. As for Princeton, they’ve put up just 116 points across their last two games. I’m thinking Dartmouth may be able to break through here so I’ll take them to cover.
