Davidson Wildcats -3.5 O/U: 133
The Dayton Flyers and the Davidson Wildcats will meet up on the college basketball circuit Tuesday.
Dayton comes into this one at 16-9 on the year. The Flyers are just 1-2 in the last three games, with a win over Rhode Island sandwiched between losses to Saint Louis and VCU.
In the loss to the Rams, Dayton’s Ryan Mikesell led the team on 22 points with four rebounds and two assists. Obadiah Toppin added 15 points with eight rebounds for the Flyars in that one, and Jalen Crutcher had 13 points with seven assists.
Over on the Davidson side, they’re 19-6 this year. Following a loss to UMass, the Wildcats have won their last pair of outings versus Fordham and Saint Joseph’s.
In the win over the Hawks, Davidson’s lead scorer was Jon Axel Gudmundsson, with 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Luke Frampton and KiShawn Pritchett each provided 18 points for the Wildcats in that one as well.
The Flyers are 5-11 ATS in their last 15 overall and 7-18-1 ATS in their last 25 versus the Atlantic 10. Dayton is 5-13 ATS in their last 18 road games and the over is 6-2 in their last eight road games.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats are 4-0 ATS in their last four after an ATS loss and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games. Davidson is 21-9-1 ATS in their last 31 versus the Atlantic 10 and 34-16-1 ATS in the last 51 Tuesday games.
Dayton was behind big in their loss to VCU, down 41-29 at halftime. The Flyers put together a good second half 39-28, but still lost by one point. That also makes three out of the last four games Dayton has failed to hit 70 points.
The Wildcats have had a few scoring lulls lately, but across their last pair they’ve put up 159 points combined. I like Davidson to stay hot at home here and bang out a cover.
