A-10 college basketball features the Duquesne Dukes visiting the Davidson Wildcats.
The Duquesne Dukes were denied a 10thwin in a 78-67 loss to New Jersey Tech on Monday as a six point home favorite. Duquesne trailed by eight at the halfway point and were outshot 47.5%-35.8% to negate 21 forced turnovers and eight more shots.
Sincere Carry gave the Dukes 14 points, five boards and sis helpers on 4-10 from the floor and 5-6 at the stripe while Michael Hughes added ten points and four pulls on 4-10.
Tavian Dunn-Martin and Eric Williams Jr gave Duquesne nine points apiece with Williams hauling in eleven rebounds followed by an eight point effort by Lamar Norman Jr..
The Davidson Wildcats head in to their Atlantic Ten opener with defeats in three of four after an 82-60 rout at North Carolina as a 15 point underdog. Shorthanded Davidson was without star Kellan Grady and could manage only 29.9% from the floor.
Luke Frampton gave the Wildcats 15 points on 4-11 from distance and 3-3 at the stripe followed by Jon Axel Gudmundsson with 15 points, eleven rebounds and four assists on 5-16 from the field.
Davidson received nine points and five pulls from Carter Collins while Luka Brajkovic chipped in with eight points, seven boards and two blocks.
