Saint Joseph’s will be without Lamarr Kimble who is currently out indefinitely due to a hand injury.
Defensively, Saint Joseph’s is allowing their opponents to average 72.2 ppg on 44.0% shooting from the field. The Hawks have a rebound margin of -2.0 and a turnover margin of 1.2.
Davidson improved to 18-6 (9-2 A-10) on the season after defeating the Fordham Rams, 79-69, this past Tuesday night. Davidson was solid defensively against the Rams and was able to pull away after taking a 67-50 lead with 6:18 left in regulation. Davidson held Fordham to just 38.3% shooting from the field and outrebounded the Rams by a 43-28 margin in the victory. The Hawks are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games following a double-digit loss at home, however, are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Wildcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games.
Saint Joseph’s have lost 10 of their last 13 games and currently rank just 269th in scoring offense, 323rd in FG%, and 203rd in scoring defense.
Davidson has won 6 of their last 7 games and although their offense ranks just 231st in scoring offense, the Wildcats have been outstanding defensively as they rank 34th in scoring defense & 31st in defensive FG%.
Davidson lost to Saint Joseph’s on the road earlier this season in a tight 61-60 game, however, it’s hard not to back the Wildcats in this one especially as the Hawks will be without Lamarr Kimble. The Hawks should have major issues scoring the basketball against the Davidson defense and as Saint Joseph’s is just 1-8 on the road this season, I’m taking Davidson to cover this double-digit home spread. Good Luck!
