Dayton Flyers -10.5 O/U: 147.5
The UMass Minutemen and the Dayton Flyers will match up in college basketball action on Sunday.
UMass enters this game with a 7-8 mark overall. The Minutemen have lost their last three straight games, falling to Georgia, La Salle and Saint Louis in succession during that span.
In the loss to the Billikens, UMass’ Luwane Pipkins led the team in scoring with 18 points, three rebounds and one assist. Rashaan Holloway added 12 points and six assists, and Samba Diallo nearly doubled up for the Minutemen on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Over on the Dayton side, they’re 10-5 this season. The Flyers have won their last five straight games, taking out Western Michigan, Presbyterian, Georgia Southern, Richmond and George Washington during that time.
In the win over the Colonials, Dayton’s Jordan Davis led the way on 25 points. Trey Landers was the only other Flyers player in double-figure scoring (12 points), but Josh Cunningham hauled in 13 rebounds.
The Minutemen are 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 Sunday games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS win. The over is 12-3 in UMass’ last 15 versus the Atlantic 10 and 21-6 in their last 27 overall.
Meanwhile, the Flyers are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus a team with a losing straight-up record and 8-20-1 ATS in their last 29 overall. Dayton is 6-18 ATS in their last 24 after a straight-up win and 3-12-1 ATS in the last 16 versus the Atlantic 10.
UMass has had some trouble lately, going just 3-6 over their last nine games. In many of them, the Minutemen simply aren’t scoring very well; in others, they’re hemorrhaging points on the other side.
As for Dayton, they’re on a nice little run and have turned things around from the uncertainty of their earlier efforts this season. I like the Flyers to keep it going here and bang out a cover.
