The Dayton Flyers welcome the Saint Joseph’s Hawks to town for a college basketball matchup.

The Saint Joseph’s Hawks look to bounce back from a  78-70 loss to the Penn Quakers  as  a five point  underdog on  Saturday.

Saint Joseph’s trailed by four points at the break and faced a double digit deficit in the second half that was too much to overcome with 40.3% shooting.

The Hawks received 27 points and 12 rebounds from Charlie Brown Jr. with Jared Bynum adding 14 points, five pulls and seven helpers.

Chris Clover gave Saint Joes another 14 points and eight rebounds followed by Lorenzo Edwards with seven points and eight boards.

The Dayton Flyers are eyeing consecutive victories after  routing Fordham 75-52 on Saturday as a 6.5 point road favorite.

Dayton jumped to a 13 point lead after 20 minutes and continued to press the issue until the final horn behind 51.8% from the floor.

Obi Toppin led the Flyers rout with 19 points and nine rebounds followed by Josh Cunningham with 15 points and eleven rebounds.

Jordan Davis and Jalen Crutcher gave Dayton ten points each and a combined eleven assists while Franke Policelli chipped in with eight points.

Saint Joseph’s Hawks are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall andare 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. Dayton Flyers are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall and are 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 vs. Atlantic 10. Saint Joseph’s Hawks are 12-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings and over is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings.

Saint Joes has dominated this matchup ATS but I’m probably sitting this out given the injuries…

Pick:
Dayton -10 (line drop to 8.5)

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
