Norfolk State has been outstanding since MEAC play began in early January and come into this game ranked 137th in scoring offense, 102nd in scoring defense, and 28th in defensive FG%.
Delaware State has lost 4 of their last 6 games and has really struggled on both ends of the court this season as the Hornets rank just 339th in scoring offense & 307th in scoring defense.
Norfolk State has been the best team in the MEAC this season, however, it will be interesting to see their approach over their last two games as the Spartans have already clinched the regular season MEAC championship. It’s been a tough season for the Hornets, however, they did cover in a 77-63 loss at Norfolk State earlier this season and as I think they’ll be getting at least double-digits points in this one, I think the play will be to take Delaware State and the points. Check back when/if the line has been released.
