Nebraska-Omaha at Denver
|Date & Time||Saturday March 2, 2019, 3:00 PM (EST)|
Denver Pioneers +4 O/U: 152
The Omaha Mavericks and the Denver Pioneers will meet up on the college basketball court on Saturday.
Omaha rolls into this one at 18-10 on the year. After a six-game win streak versus North Dakota, South Dakota, SD State, Fort Wayne, Western IL and ND State, the Mavs lost their last game versus Oral Roberts.
In the loss to the Eagles, Omaha’s top scorer was Mitchell Hahn, with 35 points and three rebounds. Also in double-figures for the Mavericks there were Zach Jackson (13 points; seven rebounds) and Matt Pile (11 points; eight rebounds).
Over on the Denver side, they’re 8-21 this year. The Pioneers lost seven straight versus Fort Wayne, SD State, Oral Roberts, ND State, Fort Wayne, South Dakota and North Dakota but then took out Western IL in their last appearance.
In the win over the Leathernecks, Denver forward David Nzekwesi topped the team on 20 points with seven rebounds. Joe Rosga added 19 points with six rebounds for the Pioneers in that one and Ade Murkey had 10 points.
The Mavericks are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 overall. Omaha is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 versus the Summit and the over is 5-1 in their last six after a straight-up loss.
Meanwhile, the Pioneers are 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 overall and 2-6 ATS in their last eight after an ATS win. Denver is 1-7 ATS in the last eight versus the Summit and 0-7 ATS in the last seven Saturday games.
Omaha really should have taken out Oral Roberts in their last appearance, but after falling behind by five in the first half the Mavericks ultimately couldn’t close the gap and fell 84-80.
Still, if Omaha can put that loss behind them and come out firing here, I can see them rolling through this one. Denver has put up some solid points totals at home lately though, so I’m going with the Pioneers on a cover.
