The Line: Denver Pioneers +1 -- Over/Under:
Coming up Saturday from Magness Arena, the North Dakota State Bison and the Denver Pioneers will be meeting up on the college basketball court.
North Dakota State enters this one with a 12-13 record overall. The Bison have lost their last three games, and fell to Oral Roberts on Thursday in OT. In that one, North Dakota State guard AJ Jacobson put up 16 points.
Paul Miller is the top scorer for the Bison this year with 19.5 PPG, 5.7 RPG and 3.6 APG. The only other North Dakota State player in double-digits is Tyson Ward (11.0 PPG; 6.0 RPG), but Cameron Hunter (9.6 PPG) isn’t too far off.
As for Denver, they are sitting at 10-14 on the year. The Pioneers have lost their last two games, dropping to South Dakota State on Thursday. In that game, Denver’s Daniel Amigo, Jake Krafka and Ade Murkey each posted 14 points.
Joe Rosga is the leading scorer for the Pioneers this year with 15.3 PPG and 4.1 RPG. Also in double-digits for Denver this season are Amigo (14.6 PPG: 6.8 RPG) and Jake Pemberton (11.5 PPG).
The Bison are 13-29-1 ATS in their last 43 road games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games. North Dakota State is also 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four versus the Summit.
Meanwhile, the Pioneers are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Summit. Denver is also 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games and 2-7 ATS in the last nine following an ATS win.
North Dakota State had a run of fairly good offensive performances going there for a while, but the Bison have put up 66 or fewer in two of their last three games. The Pioneers have been doing a little better in that respect, with at least 70 points in six of their last seven. I like Denver to manage a cover here.
