Boston College Eagles (8-2) at DePaul Blue Demons (8-2)
|Date & Time||Saturday December 22, 2018, 3:30 PM (EST)|
The Line: DePaul Blue Demons -4.5 -- Over/Under: 150
The Boston College Eagles and the DePaul Blue Demons will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Boston College rolls in here at 8-2 on the season. Thus far, the Eagles have taken out Milwaukee, St. Francis BK, Wyoming, Loyola IL, Minnesota, Sacred Heart, Columbia and Fairfield.
In the Stags game, Boston College’s Chris Herren led the scoring with 22 points and four rebounds. Ky Bowman (19 points; 12 rebounds) and Nik Popovic (11 points; 10 rebounds) each pulled in double-doubles for the Eagles.
Over on the DePaul side, they’re 8-2 as well this year. The Demons have put up wins against B-CU, Morgan State, Penn State, Cleveland State, Florida A&M, Chicago State, UIC and Incarnate word this season.
In the Cardinals game, DePaul’s Eli Cain topped the scoring with 20 poitns, and Max Strus added 18 points with five rebounds. Paul Reed had a nice line for the Demons as well on 14 points and six rebounds.
The Eagles are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 road games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight following a straight-up win. Boston College is 0-4 ATS in their last four non-conference games and 0-4 ATS in their last four overall.
Meanwhile, the Demons are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 home games. DePaul is 8-21-3 ATS in their last 32 following a straight-up win and 0-4 ATS in their last four versus the ACC.
Aside from a couple of off-nights in games they probably should have won, Boston College is rolling along quite well this year. DePaul may be able to throw a wrench in the works however, as they’ve got some capable scorers on the roster.
This is an interesting matchup, but I’m sticking with the Eagles to eke out a cover.
