Thursday college basketball action pits the Cleveland State Vikings against the Detroit Titans.
The Cleveland State Vikings snapped an eight game slide with a 72-62 win against Youngstown State on Saturday for their first Horizon League victory.
Cleveland State took command with a 17 point advantage after 20 minutes and easily held the lead behind a 45.6%-30.6% shooting edge.
Rashad Williams carried the Vikings attack with 20 points and three yanks followed by Tyree Appleby with 16 points, four boards and eight helpers.
Jaalam Hill gave Cleveland State 16 points and six boards while Seth Miller and Kasheem Thomas chipped in with six and five points.
The Detroit Titans are in the midst of a three game skid after an 80-65 defeat to Indiana-Purdue as an eight point road dog on Saturday.
Detroit trailed by nine points at the intermission but couldn’t cut in to their deficit despite 51% from the floor because of 22 turnovers.
Willy Isiani topped the Titans offense with 20 points with Josh McFolley adding another 19 points, three yanks and five helpers.
Harrison Curry gave Detroit nine points and seven rebounds followed Darrell Riley Jr. with seven points and seven helpers.
