The New Mexico State Aggies battle the Drake Bulldogs in a non-conference college basketball tilt.

The Drake Bulldogs ran their record to 8-2 after routing visiting Rider 76-58 as a five point favorite on Wednesday. This game was dead even through 20 minutes before Drake took over with a 47-30 second half behind a 48.2%-36.7% edge in marksmanship.

The Bulldogs duo of DJ Wilkins and Nick McGlynn pumped in 17 points apiece on 12-20 accuracy with McGlynn hauling in eleven rebounds. Nick Norton gave Drake 13 points and seven helpers on 6-11 shooting with Garrett Sturtz and Anthony Murphy combining for 17 points.

The New Mexico State Aggies have been labeled as the team to beat in the WAC and they haven’t disappointed at 9-2 after dismantling Cal State Northridge 92-57 Wednesday as a 19 point home favorite. New Mexico State jumped to a 21 point lead at the half and never took their foot off the gas behind 49.3% shooting and 22 more shots.

Keyon Jones was the Aggies top weapon with 21 points on seven long balls followed by an eleven point effort from AJ Harris on 4-7 accuracy. NMSU saw ten points each from Ivan Aurrecoechea, Robert Brown and Eli Chuba with Chuba hauling in nine rebounds.
