Saturday college basketball action pits the Valparaiso Crusaders against the Drake Bulldogs.

The Valparaiso Crusaders fell to Indiana State 87-82 in  overtime  on Wednesday  as  a 4.5  point  home favorite.

Valparaiso has been struggling over the past month with losses in six of seven behind an offense that is hard pressed to reach 60 points.

Derrik Smits kept the Crusaders in the game with 23 points and eleven rebounds with Deion Lavender adding 16 points, four pulls and four assists.

Bakari Evelyn gave Valpo eleven points and four boards followed by Daniel Sackey and Ryan Fazekas with ten and seven points.

The Drake Bulldogs improved to 19-7 after squeezing by Southern Illinois 72-69 on Tuesday as a 5.5 point underdog.

Drake has won three of four and are second in the Missouri Valley behind Loyola-Illinois with a consistent defense being their strength.

DJ Wilkins was the Bulldogs top option with 20 points and three yanks followed by Brady Ellingson with another 17 points.

Drake received ten points and 13 rebounds from Nick McGlynn while Tremell Murph adding another eight points and seven boards.

Valparaiso Crusaders are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and Valparaiso Crusaders are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. Missouri Valley.

Drake Bulldogs are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 vs. Missouri Valley and Drake Bulldogs are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 home games.
