Thursday college basketball action pits the Elon Phoenix at the Drexel Dragons.

The Elon Phoenix even their conference record at 1-1 with a 68-61 victory against visiting James Madison. Elon looked to be in control with a nine point lead at the intermission before fighting off a late Dukes rally.

The Phoenix saw Tyler Seibring pour in a game high 21 points with five boards on 6-9 marksmanship and 8-9 at the stripe followed by a 16 point, nine rebound effort from Steven Santa Ana on 7-14 from the floor.

Elon received 14 points from Kris Wooten on 5-11 shooting including a 4-8 effort from distance followed by Nathan Priddy with seven points.

The Drexel Dragons are in the midst of a four game slide after an 89-75 defeat at Hofstra. Drexel was never in this with a 20 point deficit staring them in the face after 20 minutes.

Troy Harper was the Dragons top weapon pouring in 22 points with five pulls on 5-16 shooting and 11-13 at the line while Alihan Demir added 15 points and five yanks.

Drexel received 12 points from Trevor John on 4-10 from the field while Camren Wynter added ten points and four helpers on 5-9 accuracy.
