Duke Blue Devils -3 O/U: 141
The Virginia Cavaliers and the Duke Blue Devils will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Virginia rolls into this one at a smooth 16-0 on the year. Over their last four games, the Cavaliers have taken out Florida State, Boston College, Clemson and Virginia Tech in succession.
In the win over the Hokies, Virginia’s De’Andre Hunter put up 21 points to lead the team alongside five rebounds and two assists. Ty Jerome doubled up for the Cavs with his 14 points, 12 assists and four boards.
Over on the Duke side, they’re 14-2 this season. The Blue Devils’ only two losses this season have come at the hands of Gonzaga on November 21 and Syracuse in their last outing Monday.
In the OT loss to the Orange, Duke’s Zion Williamson led the team with his 35 points and 10 rebounds. RJ Barrett (23 points; 16 rebounds; nine assists) and Marques Bolden (12 points; 11 rebounds) both doubled up for the Devils.
Virginia is 21-8 ATS in their last 29 road games and 21-8-1 ATS in the last 30 versus the ACC. The Cavs are 37-16-1 ATS in their last 54 overall and 52-25-3 ATS in their last 80 Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Devils are 6-1 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games. Duke is 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall and 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 following an ATS loss.
The Hokies are a great team, and Virginia completely dismantled them in their last game. The game was over by halftime, with the Cavaliers holding a 44-22 edge. Those are the kind of dominating blowout performances we’re expecting from Virginia these days.
Duke has had some of those games this year as well, but definitely not in their last pair. I’m starting to lose some faith in the Devils, and I like the Virginia juggernaut to take off some more of the luster here. I’ll go Cavs.
