The South Florida Bulls visit the East Carolina Pirates in a AAC college basketball bout on Saturday.

The South Florida Bulls ended a three game skid with a 54-41 victory against Wichita State as a 2.5 point home favorite on Tuesday.

South Florida turned to their defense in taking a 30-15 lead at the intermission with a 30%-28% shooting edge and nine more makes at the stripe.

David Collins was the top Bulls scorer with 13 points and six boards while Laquincy Rideau added eleven points, nine rebounds and five helpers.

South Florida received nine points and five pulls from Michael Durr followed by Mayan Kiir and Alexis Yetna with a combined 13 points and nine rebounds.

The East Carolina Pirates have been fading with four consecutive defeats after a 94-50 defeat to Houston on Wednesday as an 18 point road dog.

East Carolina trailed by 23 points at the halfway point and fell further behind with the Cougars holding a 51.8%-32.3% edge in marksmanship.

Seth LeDay topped the Pirates offense  with  12 points  and five  rebounds  with  Isaac Fleming  contributing  eleven points.

Jayden Gardner gave East Carolina eight points and four boards eight others combined for 19 points so secondary scoring was hard to find.

South Florida Bulls are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 road games and  are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 vs. American Athletic Conference. East Carolina Pirates are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and  are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 vs. American Athletic Conference.

South Florida has looked improved and need to show up here in what looks like a dangerous spot…
