Saturday college basketball features the Chattanooga Mocs taking the floor at the ETSU Buccaneers.
The Chattanooga Mocs took care of business in a 73-62 win at Western Carolina Thursday as a 1.5 point underdog. Chattanooga led by two after 20 minutes and pulled away late behind 52.1% marksmanship including an 11-22 effort from distance.
Kevin Easley was the Mocs top gun with a game high 21 points and three yanks while David Jean-Baptiste added 13 points and three pulls.
Ramon Villa gave Chattanooga ten points and seven rebounds while Thomas Smallwood and Donovann Toatley combined for 17 points.
The East Tennessee State Buccaneers improved to 2-0 in the SoCon with a 81-72 OT win versus visiting Samford as a ten point favorite.
East Tennessee State appeared to be in control with a 15 point lead heading to the break but both teams sank shots at around 44% and the Buccaneers were only 12-21 at the stripe.
Tray Boyd III helped ETSU avoid the upset with 22 points on 8-21 from the floor while Jeromy Rodriguez added 12 points and 19 rebounds on 5-6.
The Buccaneers saw Kevon Tucker and Mladen Armus toss in eleven points each with Mladen hauling in 17 rebounds followed by Daivien Williamson with nine points.
Chattanooga are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and Chattanooga are 8-22 ATS in their last 30 Saturday games and Chattanooga are 16-35 ATS in their last 51 vs. Southern. ETSU are 30-12 ATS in their last 42 home games and over is 37-15-2 in ETSU last 54 home games. Favorite is 13-3-1 ATS in the last 17 meetings.
