The North Dakota State Bison snapped their 2-game losing streak and improved to 2-3 on the season after defeating the Towson Tigers, 76-51, this past Sunday. North Dakota State led by a 36-23 at halftime and pulled away after a 15-0 Bison run gave North Dakota State a 60-31 lead with 10:33 left in regulation. North Dakota State shot 46.0% from the field, 36.7% from beyond the arc, and won the turnover battle by a 17-7 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Bison was Tyree Eady who had 14 points, 2 assists, and a rebound.
On the season, North Dakota State is averaging 74.0 ppg on 45.1% shooting from the field. The Bison are averaging 10.8 three-pointers per game on 37.8% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, North Dakota State has been led by Tyson Ward (11.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.8 apg), Rocky Kreuser (11.2 ppg, 3.8 rpg), and Tyree Eady (10.2 ppg, 2.4 rpg).

The East Tennessee State Buccaneers won their 3rd straight game and improved to 4-2 on the season after defeating the Sam Houston State Bearkats, 77-63, this past Tuesday. East Tennessee State went into halftime trailing by a 42-29 margin, however, opened the 2nd half on a 15-4 run to fight back into the game and pulled away after taking a double-digit lead with less than 10 minutes left in the 2nd half. East Tennessee State shot 49.1% from the field, 43.5% from beyond the arc, and committed just 7 turnovers in the victory. Leading the way for the Tray Boyd III who had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and a steal.
On the season, East Tennessee State is averaging 80.8 ppg on 46.9% shooting from the field. The Buccaneers are averaging 8.2 three-pointers per game on 34.5% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, East Tennessee State has been led by Tray Boyd III (12.7 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 1.2 apg), Jeromy Rodriguez (11.3 ppg, 12.5 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.0 spg), Patrick Good (10.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.2 apg), and Mladen Armus (10.7 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.5 bpg).
Defensively, East Tennessee State is holding their opponents to average 65.2 ppg on 43.8% shooting from the field. The Buccaneers have a rebound margin of 16.7 and a turnover margin of 2.3.
The Bison are 16-34-1 ATS in their last 51 road games and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall. The Buccaneers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win.
North Dakota State picked up a solid win agianst Towson, however, the Bison have struggled a bit to start the season as they rank just 181st in FG%, T-280th in defensive FG%, and 320th in rebound margin. East Tennessee State lost a bunch for a 25-win team last season, however, has a talented young squad that currently ranks 90th in scoring offense, T-71st in scoring defense, and 6th in rebound margin. East Tennessee State has a bunch of athleticism which will give the Bison some trouble and as I just don’t think the North Dakota State offense is going to have success on the road, I’m taking the Buccaneers to cover this spread.
