The Bulldogs are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 road games and 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The Buccaneers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
Samford has been solid on both sides of the ball this season as they rank 45th in FG% & 31st in defensive FG% and was competitive in difficult matchups earlier this season against Belmont, Tennessee, and UNC Greensboro. East Tennessee State has won 5 of their last 6 games and has also been outstanding on both ends of the court as they rank T-81st in scoring offense, T-39th in scoring defense, and 1st in rebound margin. Samford is a team that East Tennessee State shouldn’t take lightly, however, the Buccaneers are an extremely difficult team to play at home (7-0 this season) and as they beat Samford by an average of 19.0 ppg in their two matchups agianst the Bulldogs last season, I think the Buccaneers do enough to cover this home spread.
