OVC college basketball on Thursday pits the Eastern Kentucky Colonels against the Eastern Illinois Panthers.

The Eastern Kentucky Colonels were denied a 4thconsecutive win in 91-85 loss to Tennessee Tech as a ten point home favorite.

Eastern Kentucky fell victim to the  Golden  Eagles 49-42 second half run that saw Tennessee Tech sink shots at 54.2%.

Nick Mayo was the Colonels top gun with 29 points and nine rebounds with Kelvin Robinson adding 17 points, four pulls and five helpers.

EKU received 15 points from Houston King followed by Jomaru Brown and Peyton Broughton with eight points and seven points.

The Eastern Illinois Panthers saw their two game winning streak end in a 54-59 defeat at SE Missouri State as a one point underdog.

Eastern Illinois led by two at the break with the Redhawks surging ahead late an 18-2 advantage at the charity stripe.

Josiah Wallace gave the Panthers offense some explosiveness with 21 points and five pulls with Mack Smith adding 12 points and three yanks.

JaQualis Matlock gave Eastern Illinois ten points and nine rebounds while Rade Kukobat tossed in six points and grabbed six rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky Colonels are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss and  are 11-5-2 ATS in their last 18 road games. Eastern Illinois Panthers are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up loss and  are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss. Road team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings and Eastern Kentucky are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings.

Total toss up in my view so the home team is how I would go although I’m not interested…
