UT-Martin allowed Austin Peay to shoot 58.0% from the field and was outrebounded by UT-Martin by a 35.27 margin in the loss. The Eastern Kentucky Colonels lost their 4th straight game and dropped to 7-10 (0-4 OVC) on the season after being defeated by the Belmont Bruins, 109-93, this past Saturday. Eastern Kentucky struggled defensively against the Bruins and couldn’t fight back after Belmont took a 64-46 lead at halftime. Eastern Kentucky allowed Belmont to shoot 55.9% from the field and was outrebounded by the Bruins by a 48-27 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Colonels was Nick Mayo who had 26 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and a steal.

The Skyhawks are 7-20 ATS in their last 27 games overall and 0-8 ATS in their last 8 road games. The Colonels are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up loss.
UT-Martin has lost 8 of their last 10 games and although their offense is currently ranked 100th in scoring offense, the Skyhawks have really struggled defensively this season as they rank just 341st in scoring defense & 343rd in defensive FG%. Eastern Kentucky has lost 6 of their last 7 games and similar to UT-Martin, they have a high scoring offense that ranks 15th in scoring offense, however, the Colonels defense currently ranks just 348th in scoring defense & 340th in defensive FG%.
UT-Martin was able to cash for us after covering at home in their recent game against Austin Peay, however, I don’t think there is any way I can trust the Skyhawks on the road, even agianst an Eastern Kentucky team that just gave up 107 points agianst Belmont. Eastern Kentucky has the best player on the court in Nick Mayo and as I think their offense is going to have a field day at home agianst the Skyhawks, I’m taking Eastern Kentucky to cover in this one and putting a small play on the over as this should be a high scoring game.
