MAC college basketball action kicks off with the Buffalo Bulls visiting the Eastern Michigan Eagles.
The Buffalo Bulls rebounded from their only loss to defeat Canisius 87-72. Buffalo led by six points at the half before slowly pulling away behind a 50%-36.2% edge in shooting.
CJ Massinburg poured in 22 points to lead all scorers with seven boards on 7-13 accuracy and 4-6 at the line while the Bulls saw Nick Perkins add 18 points and nine rebounds on 7-14 from the floor.
Buffalo received 17 points and another nine rebounds from Jeremy Harris on 7-13 from the field followed by a combined 18 points from Jayvon Graves and Davonta Jordan.
The Eastern Michigan Eagles enter conference play off of an 87-63 loss to Kansas as a 23.5 point road dog. Eastern Michigan was never a threat with a 21 point deficit staring them in the face after 20 minutes with the Jayhawks holding a 55.4%-30% edge in marksmanship.
The Eagles were carried by the twosome of Paul Jackson and James Thompson IV with 15 points apiece with Thompson hauling in 14 rebounds.
Elijah Minnie gave EMU 13 points and two steals on 5-12 from the floor followed by a nine point effort by Damari Parris on 4-7 accuracy.
