The Idaho Vandals will travel to Reese Court to take on the Eastern Washington Eagles this Monday night in College Basketball action.

The Idaho Vandals lost their 10th straight game and dropped to 4-20 (1-12 Big Sky) on the season after being defeated by the Northern Colorado Bears, 75-47, this past Thursday. Idaho struggled offensively agianst the Bears defense and couldn’t fight back after trailing by a 43-20 margin at halftime. Idaho shot just 38.6% from the field and loss the turnover battle by a 22-6 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Vandals was Trevon Allen who had 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.

On the season, Idaho is averaging 65.3 ppg on 43.3% shooting from the field. The Vandals are averaging 7.9 three-pointers per game on 37.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Idaho has been led by Trevon Allen (14.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.8 apg), Cameron Tyson (13.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg), Jared Rodriguez (9.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg), and Scott Blakney (7.4 ppg, 4.7 rpg).

Defensively, Idaho is allowing their opponents to average 78.2 ppg on 46.2% shooting from the field. The Vandals rank 341st in scoring margin on the season as Idaho is getting outscored by an average of 12.9 ppg on the season.

The Eastern Washington Eagles snapped a 2-game losing streak and improved to 9-15 (7-6 Big Sky) on the season after defeating the Northern Colorado Bears, 88-78 in OT, this past Saturday. Eastern Washington allowed Northern Colorado to fight back from a 75-67 margin with 3:35 left in regulation to force OT, however, the Eagles were outstanding defensively in OT and easily pulled away after taking an 84-77 lead with 1:22 left in regulation. Eastern Washington shot 54.5% from the field and 50.0% from beyond the arc in the victory. Leading the way for the Eagles was Mason Peatling who had 24 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and a block.

On the season, Eastern Washington is averaging 77.0 ppg on 46.6% shooting from the field. The Eagles are averaging 8.7 three-pointers per game on 38.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Eastern Washington has been led by Mason Peatling (15.8 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.1 spg), Jacob Davison (14.6 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.1 spg), Jesse Hunt (14.4 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 3.2 apg), and Tyler Kidd (9.1 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.1 spg).

Defensively, Eastern Washington is allowing their opponents to average 77.0 ppg on 46.6% shooting from the field. The Eagles rank 301st in scoring margin as Eastern Washington is getting outscored by an average of 6.8 ppg.

Idaho is 3-6 ATS this season on the road, while 5-16 ATS overall on the season. Eastern Washington has a 6-5 ATS record at home on the season and currently 11-10 ATS on the season.

Idaho has really struggled this season, however, the Vandals might have some confidence coming into this game as their only Big Sky victory this season was agianst Eastern Washington as they defeated the Eagles by a 74-71 margin at home in early January. Despite defeating the Eagles earlier this season, it’s hard to think that Idaho has much of a shot in this one as the Vandals come into this game ranked just 312th in scoring offense & 309th in scoring defense. Eastern Washington is playing some of their best basketball of their season as of late, winning 4 of their last 6 games, and as the Eagles have won their last 6 games at home, I think Mason Peatling and Eagles do enough to cover this double-digit home spread. Good Luck!

Pick:
Eastern Washington Eagles -12
