The Idaho Vandals will travel to Reese Court to take on the Eastern Washington Eagles this Monday night in College Basketball action.
The Idaho Vandals lost their 10th straight game and dropped to 4-20 (1-12 Big Sky) on the season after being defeated by the Northern Colorado Bears, 75-47, this past Thursday. Idaho struggled offensively agianst the Bears defense and couldn’t fight back after trailing by a 43-20 margin at halftime. Idaho shot just 38.6% from the field and loss the turnover battle by a 22-6 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Vandals was Trevon Allen who had 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.

The Eastern Washington Eagles snapped a 2-game losing streak and improved to 9-15 (7-6 Big Sky) on the season after defeating the Northern Colorado Bears, 88-78 in OT, this past Saturday. Eastern Washington allowed Northern Colorado to fight back from a 75-67 margin with 3:35 left in regulation to force OT, however, the Eagles were outstanding defensively in OT and easily pulled away after taking an 84-77 lead with 1:22 left in regulation. Idaho is 3-6 ATS this season on the road, while 5-16 ATS overall on the season. Eastern Washington has a 6-5 ATS record at home on the season and currently 11-10 ATS on the season.
Idaho has really struggled this season, however, the Vandals might have some confidence coming into this game as their only Big Sky victory this season was agianst Eastern Washington as they defeated the Eagles by a 74-71 margin at home in early January. Despite defeating the Eagles earlier this season, it’s hard to think that Idaho has much of a shot in this one as the Vandals come into this game ranked just 312th in scoring offense & 309th in scoring defense. Eastern Washington is playing some of their best basketball of their season as of late, winning 4 of their last 6 games, and as the Eagles have won their last 6 games at home, I think Mason Peatling and Eagles do enough to cover this double-digit home spread. Good Luck!
