The Eastern Washington Eagles host the Sacramento State Hornets in Thursday college basketball.

The Sacramento State Hornets are hoping to bounce back from a 65-57 defeat at the Portland State Vikings as a three point underdog.

Sacramento State has shown some improvement as of late but it’s too deep in the season to move up from 9thplace in the standings.

Joshua Patton paced the Hornets offense with 12 points and four pulls with Marcus Graves adding eleven points, five pulls and six helpers.

Ethan Esposito gave Sacramento State another eleven points followed by Bryce Fowler with nine points and Osi Nwachukwu with six points and eight rebounds.

The Eastern Washington Eagles have their sights set on back to back wins after downing Northern Arizona 86-73 on Saturday.

Eastern Washington has heated up with wins in three of four to move up to 5th in the conference with four games on the schedule.

Tyler Kidd was the Eagles top option with 19 points and four pulls while Jesse Hunt added 16 points, eleven rebounds and five assists.

Ty Gibson gave Eastern Washington another 16 points followed by Kim Aiken Jr. with eleven points and a contest high 14 rebounds.

Sacramento State Hornets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up loss and Sacramento State Hornets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games.

Eastern Washington Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and Eastern Washington Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big Sky.

Over is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings and over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Eastern Washington.

The numbers are conflicting on both sides so I’ll side with the points in a competitive game…

Pick:
Sacramento State +5

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
