Non-conference college basketball action gives us a matchup between the Canisius Golden Griffins and the Elon Phoenix.

The Canisius Golden Griffins ended a six game slide with a 68-62 win against visiting Robert Morris. Canisius connected at 48.9% and Robert Morris countered at 33.3% with a few more long balls and makes at the charity stripe to keep the game competitive.

Isaiah Reece gave Canisius ten points, 12 rebounds, seven helpers and four steals on 5-8 accuracy with Jalanni White chipping in eight points.

The Elon Phoenix need a change in fortune after a 75-74 loss to visiting North Carolina-Greensboro dropped the team to 3-7. Elon rallied from eight points down behind 45.8% shooting but 16 turnovers and an 11-20 effort at the charity stripe prevented the upset as a 13 point home underdog.

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
