The Drake Bulldogs and the Evansville Purple Aces will meet up in college basketball action on Wednesday.

Drake enters this one at 11-2 on the season. The Bulldogs have won their last five straight games versus SIUE, Rider, New Mexico State, San Diego and McKendree.

In the Bearcats game, Drake’s Garrett Sturtz put up 16 points and six rebounds, while Nick McGlynn logged 14 points, seven rebounds and two assists. DJ Wilkins and Tremell Murphy each added 11 points with nine combined rebounds.

Over on the Evansville side, they’re 6-7 this year. The Aces have lost three of their last four games, taking out Green Bay and falling to JSU, Murray State and Miami OH during that span.

In the RedHawks game, Evansville’s KJ Riley led the way on 20 points with four rebounds. Shea Feehan had a decent outing as the only other Aces player in double-figures there with 16 points and one assist.

The Bulldogs are 8-0 ATS in their last eight following a straight-up win and 4-0 ATS in their last four road games. Drake is 10-1 ATS in their last 11 overall and 5-0 ATS in their last five versus a team with a losing straight-up record.

Meanwhile, the Aces are 5-0 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games. Evansville is 4-1 ATS in their last five following an ATS win and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 overall.

Drake is looking pretty good since that Iowa State game, though the Aggies and San Diego did give them a little trouble here and there. The Bulldogs have a pretty deep roster that can overcome difficulties such as those however.

As for Evansville, they’re a little too unpredictable for me right now, so I feel better with Drake here.
