Friday college basketball pits the Marist Red Foxes against the Fairfield Stags.

The Marist Red Foxes are losers of two straight after a 67-55 loss at the Siena Saints as a four point underdog on Sunday afternoon.

Marist appeared to be heading towards a spot in the MAAC top four with four wins in a row but the team has dropped back to back games and are 7th in the standings.

Brian Parker was high scorer for Marist with 15 points, four pulls and six helpers with Ryan Funk adding eleven points and three yanks.

Marist saw eight points and four pulls from David Knudsen while Luke Nedrow and Aleksandar chipped in with five and four points.

The Fairfield Stags are eyeing consecutive wins after upending Manhattan 72-59 on Sunday afternoon as a five point home favorite.

Fairfield is sitting next to last in the conference but did end a four game slide and have an opportunity  to end the season with three game winning streak.

Landon Taliaferro carried the Stags pouring in 23 points with three yanks with Matija Milin tossing in 14 points and snagging four boards.

Jesus Cruz gave Fairfield nine points and three yanks followed by Neftali Alvarez and Jonathan Kasibabu combined for 13 points, eight rebounds and nine helpers.

Marist Red Foxes are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games and Marist Red Foxes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss.

Fairfield Stags are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and Fairfield Stags are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic.

Under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings and favorite is 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings.

Marist is the better team but I can’t make sense of either right now…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
