Fairleigh Dickinson Knights -7 O/U: 134
The Wagner Seahawks and the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights will match up on the college basketball court Wednesday in the Northeast Conference Tournament.
Wagner comes into this one at 13-16 overall. The Seahawks are currently riding a four-game losing skid versus Bryant, FDU, St. Francis PA and Robert Morris in succession.
In the loss to the Colonials, Wagner’s top scorer was Romone Saunders on 26 points with nine rebounds and one assist. Elijah Davis was the only other Seahawks player in double-figures on 17 points, one assist and one rebound.
Over on the Fairleigh Dickinson side, they're 17-13 this season. The Knights are sitting on a five-game win streak, beating Bryant, Sacred Heart, Wagner, Mt. St. Mary’s and Central CT State in that stretch.
In the win over the Blue Devils, Fairleigh Dickinson’s Kaleb Bishop doubled up with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Darnell Edge (15 points; four assists) and Jahlil Jenkins (13 points) both finished in double-figures for the Knights there as well.
The Seahawks are 0-4 ATS in their last four overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four versus the Northeast. Wagner is 0-5 ATS in their last five versus a team with a winning straight-up record and the under is 5-1 in their last six road games.
Meanwhile, the Knights are 5-0 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 4-0 ATS in their last four after a straight-up win. FDU is 5-0 ATS in the rats five overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four after an ATS win.
It’s been a while since Wagner has finished on the right side of the scoreboard—February 16 versus Mt. St. Mary’s in a 58-56 affair, to be exact. The good news is that Wagner did beat FDU 66-60 at home back on January 12.
That said, FDU won 74-66 February 23 the last time these teams met up, and I don’t see too many indications that they’ll falter here. I’m going Knights on the cover.
