The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the FAU Owls meet in C-USA college basketball action from the FAU Arena on Wednesday night.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs come into this game looking to rebound from back-to-back losses after an 83-76 loss to FIU last time out. Amorie Archibald led the Bulldogs with 20 points on 7 of 13 shooting with 6 threes while JaColby Pemberton had 14 points with a team-high 10 rebounds for the double-double. DaQuan Bracey added 12 points with a team-high 6 assists while Anthony Duruji chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds to round out the quartet of double-digit scorers for Louisiana Tech in the losing effort. Bracey leads Louisiana Tech with an average of 15.4 points and 4.2 assists per game while Duruji leads the Bulldogs in rebounding with 6.2 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Louisiana Tech is averaging 73.4 points per game on 43.8% shooting from the field, 33.2% from behind the arc and 65.8% from the foul line this season.

The FAU Owls will look to build on a 60-54 win over North Texas in their last outing. Richardson Matire led the Owls with 15 points on 4 of 7 shooting with 3 threes while Karlis Silins and Xavian Stapleton each had 12 points with Silins shooting 6 of 8 from the floor with 3 blocks while Stapleton had 4 steals, rounding out the trio of double-digit scorers for FAU in the win. Anthony Adger had a team-high 5 assists while Simeon Lepichev had a team-high 9 rebounds. Adger leads FAU in scoring with 15.8 points per game while Lepichev leads the Owls in rebounding with 5.6 rebounds per game and Michael Forrest leads the Owls in assists with 2.9 assists per game this season. As a team, FAU is averaging 71.4 points per game on 41.3% shooting from the field, 32.7% from behind the arc and 73.9% from the foul line this season.

Louisiana Tech is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 13-6 ATS in their last 19 conference games while the under is 13-4 in their last 17 games overall. Florida Atlantic is 10-23 ATS in their last 33 games against a team with a winning record and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a win while the under is 15-6 in their last 21 games overall. The under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

Neither of these teams have been all that consistent as of late, but even so, it’s slightly surprising to see Louisiana Tech favored here. With this line being so close to a pick ‘em, if there’s nothing in the head-to-head trends then I’m inclined to look at home and away records. Louisiana Tech is 3-10 SU on the road this season and are 0-8 SU on the road in conference play while FAU is 9-4 SU at home. I think the wrong team is favored here so I’ll take the free point with FAU in this one.
