FIU Panthers +6 O/U: 150
The Old Dominion Monarchs and the Florida International Panthers will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Old Dominion comes into this one with an 11-5 mark overall. Across their last three games however, the Monarchs are just 1-2 with a win over Western Kentucky sandwiched between losses to Marshall and Florida Atlantic.
In the loss to the Owls, Old Dominion’s Ahmad Caver led the team on 20 points with three rebounds and two assists. Justice Kithcart added 16 points for the Monarchs and Xavier Green scored 15 points.
Over on the FIU side, they’re 11-5 this season as well. The Panthers are just 2-2 in their last four outings, falling to Ohio and UAB while beating Middle Tennessee and Charlotte in that time.
In the win over the 49ers, FIU’s Trejon Jacob topped the team with 19 points, four rebounds and an assist. Also in double-figures for the Panthers were Osasumwen Osaghae (13 points; seven rebounds) and Antonio Daye (10 points).
The Monarchs are 6-0 ATS in their last six Saturday games and 4-0 ATS in their last four following an ATS loss. Old Dominion is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus CUSA.
Meanwhile, the Panthers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus CUSA. FIU is 1-5 ATS in their last six Saturday games and the under is 4-1 in their last five overall.
Old Dominion hasn’t quite looked like themselves over the last few games, and they’re having some trouble with teams they quite frankly should be taking care of—like Marshall and Florida Atlantic.
FIU doesn’t inspire a whole lot of confidence however—especially offensively—so if things go as planned Old Dominion should be able to get a cover here. Realistically I’m staying away from this one, though.
