The Florida Atlantic Owls welcome the Mercer Bears to town for a Saturday college basketball bout.

The Mercer Bears interrupted their non-conference schedule with a 79-69 loss at SoCon foe The Citadel on Saturday. Mercer led by eight at the half but the Citadel broke loose with 54 second half points behind a 42.6%-36.2% shooting edge and 12 long balls.

Ross Cummings kept the Bears in the game with a contest high 22 points and three pulls on 7-11 accuracy including six bombs followed by a 15 point, five board effort from Jaylen Stowe. Ethan Stair gave Mercer eleven points and 14 rebounds on 4-9 with Daniel Love tossing in nine points and posting five assists.

The Florida Atlantic Owls fell to 6-2 on the year after a 72-70 loss at Bethune-Cookman on Saturday. This was close throughout with both teams connecting at around 41%  and combining for 38 turnovers.

Florida Atlantic leaned heavily on Jailyn Ingram and he led all scorers with 29 points, seven rebounds and two blocks on 11-16 marksmanship including 4-6 from deep. Anthony Adger gave the Owls 20 points and three pulls on 7-12 from the floor with another four makes from distance while Jaylen Sebree chipped in with eight points and five boards.

Mercer Bears are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games and Mercer Bears are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and Mercer Bears are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games.
