|Date & Time||Saturday December 22, 2018, 5:00 PM (EST)|
The Line: Florida Gators -17.5 -- Over/Under: 135.5
The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles and the Florida Gators will meet up in college basketball action on Saturday.
Florida Gulf Coast enters this game at 5-8 on the season. The Eagles’ victories this year have come against Southeastern, SD State, Oral Roberts, UMBC and Keiser.
In the Seahawks game, Florida Gulf Coast’s Zach Scott led the charge on 25 points and two rebounds. Schadrac Casimir had 14 points and Caleb Catto had 12 as the only other FGCU players in double-figures there.
Over on the Gators’ side, they’re 6-4 this year. Florida has notched wins versus Charleston Southern, La Salle, Stanford, North Florida, West Virginia and Mercer so far this season.
In the Mercer game, Florida’s Noah Locke led the team with 18 points and four rebounds. KeVaughn Allen added 15 points, and Kevarrius Hayes led the rebounding with 11 and eight points.
The Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 15-4 ATS in their last 19 neutral-site games. FGCU is 1-6 ATS in their last seven overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven non-conference games.
Meanwhile, the Gators are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four versus the Atlantic Sun and 5-2 ATS in their last seven following an ATS loss. Florida is 1-6 ATS in their last seven following a straight-up win and the under is 4-0 in their last four neutral-site games.
Florida Gulf Coast started December out pretty badly but they’ve righted the ship a bit over these last three games, posting wins in each—although the Keiser game was way closer than it should have been.
Florida has been pretty unreliable on the scoreboard lately, but I think they’ve got business handled here. I’m going with the Gators on the cover.
