Down at O’Connell Center on Wednesday, the LSU Tigers and the Florida Gators will be meeting up on the college basketball court.

LSU enters this game with a 13-9 record overall. The Tigers had lost five of six, but bounced back Saturday versus Arkansas. In that one, LSU guard Tremont Waters logged 27 points to lead the team.

Waters is also the top scorer for LSU this season with 15.3 PPG and 5.9 APG, while Duop Reath is second on 14.0 PPG and 5.5 RPG. Also in double-digits for the Tigers is Skylar Mays, with 11.1 PPG.

Over on the Florida side, they’re sitting at 15-8 on the season. The Gators have lost three of their last four games, most recently dropping to Alabama Saturday. In that game, Florida’s KeVaughn Allen managed 16 points.

Tops for Florida in scoring average is Jalen Hudson with 15.7 PPG, and Egor Koulechov has 14.3 PPG with 7.0 RPG. Also in double-digits for the Gators are Chris Chiozza (12.3 PPG; 6.0 APG) and Allen (11.5 PPG).

LSU is 7-17-1 ATS in their last 25 games following a straight-up win and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Tigers are also 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus the SEC and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win.

Meanwhile, the Gators are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games and the under is 5-2 in their last seven versus the SEC. The under is also 8-2 in the Gators’ last 10 games following a straight-up loss and the over is 5-1 in their last six versus a team with a winning straight-up record.

LSU has done reasonably well with their offense lately, but they’ve been allowing a lot of points. In the last three games, the Tigers have given up at least 84 in each. Florida, meanwhile, has hit the wall lately, scoring just 110 across their last two games. I think the Tigers can keep up here so I’ll take LSU to cover.

Pick:
LSU Tigers +7.5
