Florida Gators -6.5 O/U: 136
The Ole Miss Rebels and the Florida Gators will match up in college basketball activity on Wednesday.
Mississippi enters this one with a 14-5 mark on the year. The Rebels have lost three of their last four games, beating Arkansas and falling to LSU, Alabama and Iowa State during that stretch of outings.
In the loss to the Cyclones, Ole Miss’ lead scorer was Breein Tyree, with 22 points and one assist. Terence Davis added 16 points, four assists and six rebounds for the Rebels, and Blake Hinson chipped in 13 points.
Over on the Florida side, they’re 11-8 this season. Across their last five, the Gators have dropped to Tennessee and MS State, then beaten Georgia and Texas A&M before falling again to TCU.
In the loss to the Frogs, Florida’s only double-figure scorer was KeVaughn Allen, with 11 points, five rebounds and two assists. Keyontae Johnson was the lead rebounder for the Gators there with nine points and eight boards.
The Rebels are 4-0 ATS in their last four Wednesday games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games. Ole Miss is 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up loss and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 overall.
Meanwhile, the Gators are 8-1 ATS in their last nine following a straight-up loss and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 after an ATS loss. Florida is 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games.
It’s been a pretty rough handful of games for the Rebels lately, and their offensive output has been pretty sketchy over the last four. Ole Miss put up just 122 combined points versus LSU and Alabama.
Speaking of sketchy offenses, Florida falls in that category these days as well, thanks mainly to that 55-50 dud against TCU. The Frogs are a good team, granted, but one a big program like Florida should have taken out.
I’m not thrilled about either one of these teams right now, but the line seems thick enough that I think the Rebels can get in there.
