The Florida Gators will be out to snap a 3-game losing streak of their own after a 73-61 loss to Tennessee in their last outing. Vanderbilt is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 conference games while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 road games against a team with a winning home record. Florida is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the under is 21-7 in their last 28 games following a loss. Vanderbilt is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams and 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams at Florida. The underdog is also 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings between these two teams.
Vandy has struggled on the road this season, but with lines like these, it’s no wonder why the underdog has had so much success. I understand that Florida’s losses have come to Auburn, Kentucky and Tennessee during this losing streak, but the fact is that the Gators have had no luck ATS over the last few weeks and have been owned by Vanderbilt ATS in this matchup both at home and overall in recent years. Sure, Vanderbilt isn’t a world beater and is in tough to win this game on the road, but the Commodores aren’t completely inept and are more than capable of adding to their success in this matchup. I just think that Florida doesn’t deserve to be favored by more than a couple of points, so I’ll take the points with Vanderbilt here.
