MWC college basketball on Saturday gives us a matchup between the Nevada Wolf Pack and the Fresno State Bulldogs.

The Nevada Wolf Pack bounced back from their first loss of the season to thrash San Jose State 92-53 on Wednesday as a as a 27.5 home favorite.

Nevada took control early and pulled away on the strength of a 60-30 second half behind 52.1% marksmanship and 18 more shots.

Caleb  Martin  led the  Wolf  Pack  scoring parade  with  23 points while  Jordan  Caroline added 19 points and three yanks.

Corey Henson gave Nevada 15 points and seven helpers followed by a 14 point, five pull, five assist effort by Cody Martin while Jordan Brown and Jazz Johnson combined for 17 points.

The Fresno State Bulldogs improved to 3-0 in the Mountain West after squeezing by Utah State 78-77 Wednesday as a six point road dog.

Fresno State came back from an eight point deficit heading to the locker room with 45.5% shooting with 17 more shots and 15 makes from deep.

Braxton Higgins starred for the Bulldogs pouring in 33 points with Noah Blackwell adding 13 points, four pulls, six helpers and three steals.

Fresno State received eleven points and four assists from Deshon Taylor while Nate Grimes and Sam Bittner combined for 17 points and 14 rebounds.
