Fresno State Bulldogs -24.5 O/U: 143.5
The San Jose State Spartans and the Fresno State Bulldogs will match up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
San Jose State comes in here with a 4-25 mark overall. After a loooong losing treak, the Spartans got a victory over New Mexico but then dropped their last two versus San Diego State and Wyoming.
In the loss to Wyoming, San Jose State guard Noah Baumann put up 27 points with five rebounds and two assists to lead the team. Also in double-figures for the Spartans there was Michael Steadman with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Over on the Fresno State side, they’re 21-8 this year. The Bulldogs fell in consecutive games to New Mexico and Air Force but since then they’ve won their last pair versus Wyoming and San Diego State.
In the win over San Diego State, Fresno State’s top scorer was Deshon Taylor with 25 points, four rebounds and five assists. Braxton Huggins also finished in double-figures for the Bulldogs there with 14 points and six boards.
San Jose State is 6-14-1 ATS in their last 21 after a straight-up loss and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five overall. The Spartans are 0-8-1 ATS in their last nine road games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five versus the Mountain West.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last four Saturday games and 35-17 ATS in their last 52 after an ATS win. Fresno State is 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games and the under is 5-2 in their last seven overall.
Well, there’s not much to say about San Jose State this season. If there’s a silver lining as of late it’s that the Spartans have been scoring reasonably well with at least 68 points in four of their last five outings.
Fresno State has their issues, but all things considered I don’t have any problem taking them on a cover here, even with the thick line.
